This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska


Position Summary:
The persons in this position are responsible for following API Standard 510 and/or 653 - Pressure Vessel Inspection Code: Maintenance, Inspection, Rating, Repair, and Alteration, Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Reconstruction.

Essential job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
1. Serve as a representative of the company, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.

3. Demonstrate and ensure an overall commitment to safety.
4. Able to work in a team environment.
5. Operate contract in a safe and environmentally conscientious manner.
6. Monitor contract performance, performance measurement and budgeting.
7. Assist with developing strategic and tactical work plans that meet both budget and technical requirements.
8. Manage overhead/developmental cost while optimizing suppliers and existing resources.
9. Build integrity, honesty and trust with our employees and our clients.
10. Provide monthly progress /status reports to Operations Manager.
11. Acquire new contracts, execute current contracts, and manage work flow for inspection crews.
12. Set up and calibrate equipment for task at hand and accurately complete required paperwork.
13. Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, specifications, procedures and customers specific requests.
14. Properly perform specific calibrations and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record accurate results.
15. As required by various jobs and clients:
a. Read isometric drawings.
b. Execute safety and permitting requirements.
c. Perform routine maintenance and repair equipment.
d. Operate vehicles and equipment (with certification or license).
16. Communicate effectively with clients.
17. Assure resolution of technical issues raised by customer or Kakivik Asset Management personnel.
18. Communicate effectively with clients; assure customer satisfaction.
19. Interface with the clients to gain feedback, improve performance, and provide business development.
20. Properly perform specific calibrations and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record accurate results.
21. Perform all above requirements in a safe, thorough, and responsible manner.
22. Be a safety leader! Ensure the resources and commitment to HSE is of top priority for all employees within the company.
23. Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, specifications, procedures and customers specific requests.

This position may also be responsible for:
1. Assist with completing performance appraisals on workforce as required.
2. Immediately bring any employee concerns or issues to the attention of the Project Manager.
3. Manage the personnel working the contract.
4. Direct, instruct, and be a positive role model to any trainee that is accompanying them on the job.
5. Assure employee safety through safety planning and regular reviews.
6. Assist with development of new business opportunities
7. Work closely with the different project managers to effectively coordinate personnel, and equipment between different scopes of work.
8. Develop cohesive work crews by providing leadership, equipment and technical assistance as required to complete the project on schedule and within budget.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
2. AAS, BS, or BA preferred
3. API 510 and/or 653 is required.
4. Knowledge of corrosion evaluation and integrity management desired
5. Proficient with computer usage especially in Microsoft office software applications
6. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in front of groups
7. Must possess the ability to work independently
8. Must possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Alaska oil industry experience preferred.
10. Ability to build the business.
11. Ability to write reports.
12. Ability to direct field inspection crew, plan and execute work.
13. Must be available to travel to and work in remote locations.
14. Ability to certify in MT, PT, LT, RT, & UT NDT methods as a level II is desired.

Working Conditions:
Work extended hours in adverse weather, sub-zero temperatures, and remote locations. Overtime will be required. Work extended hours in sub-zero temperatures.

Physical Restrictions:

The overall physical health should be well enough to allow them to:
1. Lift 75 pounds from ground level to chest height
2. Work with materials overhead
3. Work and walk on uneven surfaces
4. Climb ladders
5. Kneel, crawl, stoop, bend
6. Have vision correctable to at least 20/40
7. Enter confined spaces
