Position Summary: Act as coordinator for Kakivik Asset Management training programs, single point of contact. Support and assist Quality Manager on an as-needed basis. Essential job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
1. Quality Department Items: a. Administer, correct, file & enter exam data into QCC, file hardcopy. b. Initiate, maintain, update, certification files. c. Update certifications/eye tests as necessary. d. Respond to certification items/issues. e. Respond to employee certification & training concerns i.e. hrs, questions, etc. f. Assume Quality Manager Role in absence. g. Update certification list as necessary (primarily responsibility of Quality Manager) h. Assist in development of procedures/documents (as necessary) i. Perform research, advise, & assist in QA/QC processes. j. Update website documents (as needed) k. Answer questions from employees on QA/QC items. l. Assist in the new-hire process, exams, certifications, etc. m. Assist Quality Manager with Quality Audits.
2. Training Items: a. Prepare/prep class items for instructors. b. Develop, maintain, and improve classroom training materials. c. Develop, assist in development, coordinate curriculum for classroom delivery and e-training. d. Assist instructors in classroom delivery. e. Coordinate classes (internal) books, codes, procedures, references, specimens, etc. f. Fabricate training/testing specimens on an as needed basis. g. Solicit bids, coordinate for third party training; hotels, car, conference room, etc. h. Gather and disseminate training related items/issues to employees. i. Counsel employees on articulation, credit for experience, UAA programs, 3rd party, etc. j. Coordinate with BEECS/CCI on training related issues (Denali Fund etc.) k. Educate/disseminate minimum requirements of trainees to BBNC, BBNA, BBEDC, UAF, UAA etc. l. Maintain training attendance records. m. Maintain approval log of attendees. n. Deliver training classes (as necessary). o. Research, gather, disseminate information on technologies (EMATs, AUT, etc.) p. Answer questions of employees on training items/issues. q. Update training calendar & website. r. Develop NDT Training and Online Tests using Articulate Studio 09
3. Section 29 Program: a. Maintain student profiles. b. Counsel students on classes (registration), career goals, etc. c. Coordinate BBBSD & SAVEC classes with UAF/UAA coordinate articulation d. Participate in educational forums, councils, in the interest of Kakivik & BBNC e. Attend/display trade shows, investment councils, AFN, etc. f. Represent Kakivik’s educational interests in Bristol Bay Region (BBBSD meetings, shareholders meeting, SAVEC advisory board, BBNA, BBEDC, etc.) g. Deliver classes, certify welding students, coordinate delivery-King Salmon h. Coordinate applications with BBNC, BBNA, BBEDC etc. i. Chair the selection committee & selection process. (SAVEC, UAF, BB rep.) j. Coordinate with CEO & HR Manager on section 29 items. k. Application for section 29 monies (yearly). l. Align training from secondary, post-secondary, & technical training for credit.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications: 1. Extensive knowledge of computer software (Windows 95, 98, XP and Microsoft Office), computer hardware and computer servers. 2. Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel, Access and MS Word software. 3. High level of interpersonal skills. 4. Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. 5. Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills. 6. Excellent oral and written communications skills. 7. Supplemental training classes as needed (EMAT, PowerPoint, etc) 8. Current ASNT Level III’s UT, ability to certify as Level III in at least one other method (MT, PT, RT, poss. VT, LT) within one year. 9. Certification in at least one of the following: ASQ, Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, CMQ/OE 10. Auditing skills enhancement 11. Ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure and to meet pre-established goals. 12. Knowledge of online rapid E-Learning courses using Articulate products or equivalent is very desirable. 13. Proficient in developing electronic exams and e-training. 14. Experience developing procedures. 15. Two years as a Quality Department Auditor in the NDE field.
Working Conditions: Work involves near continuous use of computer terminal and may require sitting for extended periods. Some overtime may be required.
Physical Restrictions: May require light physical effort such as stooping, bending, reaching and occasional lifting of lightweight objects (up to 25 pounds).
