Responsible for the inspection of fixed equipment and piping in accordance with API 510 and API 570. Will be responsible for management of inspection data and report writing. Will be required to support the development of routine and turnaround inspection scope recommendations and perform and/or coordinate turnaround inspection execution. Also expected to support Senior Inspectors and Engineers with inspection and repair recommendations in accordance with API 510 or NBIC codes.

Work Experience & Skills Required:
API 510 pressure vessel with a minimum of 5 years experience as an inspector and must obtain API 570 piping inspector certification within the first year of employment if not already certified.
OR
API 570 piping inspector certification with a minimum of 5 years experience as an inspector and must obtain API 510 pressure vessel within the first year of employment if not already certified.

Work Experience & Skills Preferred:
NACE Coating Inspector Level 1, experience with Ultrapipe, Risk Based Inspection, API 653 AST Certification and/or AWS-CWI certification.

Education Required:
High school diploma with required Inspection work experience and skills.

Education Preferred:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering

Physical Demands and Unusual Working Conditions:
Climbing, confined space entry, respirator use.

Other Considerations:
Database management skills, Economic thinking, Technical report writing, Familiar with purchasing standards for engineered equipment.
