Responsible for ever-greening Risk Based Inspection (RBI) data. Responsible for mechanical integrity of fixed equipment and piping in accordance with API 510, API 570, and API Risk Based Inspection. Able to analyze thickness data in UltraPIPE (or similar Inspection Data Management Systems) and RBI data in support of fixed equipment scope of work development for turnarounds and routine maintenance. Able to analyze thickness data in UltraPIPE (or similar Inspection Data Management Systems) and RBI data in support of fixed equipment scope of work development for turnarounds and routine maintenance. Scope, perform and/or coordinate turnaround inspection activities. Supply internal customers with inspection and repair recommendations in support of routine maintenance on piping and pressure equipment. Develop repair plans for pressure vessels and piping in accordance with API 510/NBIC or API 570 codes. Identify damage mechanisms as well as evaluate susceptibility and corrosion rates.
Work Experience & Skills Required: - API 510 (Pressure Vessel) and API 570 (Piping) certifications with 10+ years of experience as an inspector or - Working knowledge with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook)
Work Experience & Skills Preferred: - API 510/API 570 certification with NBIC, API 653 (AST), and API 571 - Experience in Risk Based Inspection and PVcalc or similar software - Four years experience as a Mechanical or Reliability Engineer in support or refining/petrochemical industry
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent with required work experience and skills
Education Preferred: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering
Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions: Climbing, confined space entry, respirator use
Other Considerations: Database management skills, API 653 above ground storage tank inspector and/or AWS-CWI certification.
