Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Structural & Piping

Epsilon Industries is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support fabrication and assembly activities at our Tuscaloosa, Alabama manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for performing inspections on structural steel, piping, and modular assemblies to ensure compliance with project drawings, codes, and customer requirements. The QC Inspector will work closely with fabrication, welding, and engineering teams in a continuous improvement–focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated assemblies
Inspect weld fit-up and completed welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 and applicable codes
Verify materials, dimensions, and workmanship against drawings and specifications
Review and complete inspection records, checklists, and reports
Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances
Support weld testing, welder qualifications, and procedure compliance
Participate in corrective action and continuous improvement activities

Qualifications
Experience inspecting structural steel and/or piping fabrication
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1; ASME piping experience a plus
CWI preferred or ASNT VT Level I or II acceptable
NDT experience (MT/PT/UT) a plus
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
