Coordinator Technical Services

Requirements

  • Coordinate, communicate and oversee all activities related to the welding procedure development process.
  • Generate and or assist with welding procedure Quotes based on the group’s needs.
  • Assist group with maintaining project folders during projects, through completion and turnover for invoicing.
    • Quotes, PO#s, email communications, specifications, Lab reports etc.
  • Assist as needed with review of Client specifications as they apply to welding procedure quotes and development.
    • Obtain additional technical support as needed.
  • Assist as needed with updating and maintaining all project logs in shared folders.
  • Assist as needed with Compiling relative data to generate welding procedure data books based on project / client specifics.
  • Works with others within the technical services group to ensure the correct welding requirements and process requirements meet customer and project needs.
  • Provide daily production activities updates to Lead Coordinator and/or Technical Services Manager.
  • Assist with providing project updates to client as needed.
  • Direct and control logistical components of Technical Services operations. Including but not limited to, Filler and base material control, Equipment and tool upkeep and organization, Work area(s) organization and cleanliness. Including offices.
  • Will assist with the direction and control of the welder’s daily activities including weld area organization
  • Other duties as assigned and directed by Technical Services Manager and/or Operations Manager.
  • Inspects and tests welded joints of work in progress and of completed units for visible defects, correct dimensions, joint strength, bead profile, weld penetration, and conformance

Skills

  • Knowledge of ASME, API and AWS welding codes and specifications.
  • Knowledge of all applicable welding processes, GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW.
  • Understanding of inspection methods, VT, RT, PT, UT, etc.
  • Knowledge of welding data entry to compile relative project books for project.
  • Able to read, understand and apply client specification as they relate to welding procedures.
