HRSG Division Manager

HRSG Division Manager

United Dynamics Advanced Technologies Corporation is looking to fill a management position in our HRSG Services department. As a UDC HRSG Division Manager, you would be leading and training a team of technicians to perform inspections and diagnostics on Heat Recovery Steam Generators and auxiliary equipment. Our team of Inspectors and Engineers are trained in proven techniques and use high-tech equipment to detect the smallest imperfections and failures inside fossil-fuel boilers and HRSG units that generate the power for communities across America.

We are seeking a managerial candidate with experience in gas turbine combined-cycle power plants, and an understanding of operations and impact on HRSGs.

Ideal candidates will have an understanding of metallurgy and impact of steam/water conditions on all components as well as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, Section I and VIII. You will utilize your knowledge of valves and instrumentation and how they are incorporated in HRSG operations to provide technical support and consultation to clients, including the execution of visual inspection and NDE of HRSG pressure parts and auxiliary equipment. The HRSG Division Manager will review RFQ’s, create and submit proposals for jobs, compile inspection results and create recommendation reports for power plant maintenance management and engineers. The UDC HRSG Division Manager will coordinate with/assist the Field Services Division Manager and will occasionally provide inspection support on fossil fuel boilers as needed, although the primary focus will be combined-cycle plants.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree is not required, but preferred consideration will be given
  • HRSG/power utility experience – 5 years+ preferred
  • Ability to work unaffected by confined spaces or elevated heights
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical ability, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn
  • Strong PC based computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to collect and analyze operating data to determine impact on HRSG components
  • Ability to assist in root cause failure analysis of HRSG components

This position will require extensive travel and overtime in Spring and Fall outage seasons (approximately 150+ days per year). The base salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and education. UDC covers all travel expenses, and Overtime and Per Diem pay are in addition to an enticing benefit package. Employees must pass a drug screen and background check for consideration. Must be U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
