QC Lead NDT Inspector

The QC Lead inspector supervises and directs the activities of shop inspection personnel in addition to performing high level QC Inspections.
Essential Job Accountabilities:
· Responsible for the daily activities of the QC inspectors, including prioritizing and coordinating qoek schedules.
· Perform NDT examinations including Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT) & Ultrasonic (UT).
· Incoming and final dimensional of pump components.
· In process hardness testing and machine shop inspections.
· Reviews completed travelers and generate final documentation for nuclear repaired jobs.
· Revision of pre quote inspection reports.
· In house calibration of measuring instruments.
· Provide guidance and training of new shop inspectors.
· Perform QA and QC functions per the traveler during manufacturing process or final assembly of the pump components.
· Assist customers with final documentation review of their repaired pump.
· Actively involved in all ASME and NUPIC audits.
· General QA and QC responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum five years previous inspection experience and familiarity with most measuring tools.
Experience using micrometers, gauges, calipers and CM (Romer Arm).
Level II certification required.
Ability to prioritize and take direction and instruction from all levels of management.
Excellent communication skills including reading, writing and oral presentations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Previous machine shop and supervisory experience a plus.
High School Diploma and valid driver’s license required. Some college and or professional training certificate preferred.
