POSITION OVERVIEW: The Rope Access Level I Field Technician will be responsible and accountable for but not limited to performing inspections and rope access work on a variety of components in the refining, petrochemical, power and construction industries. Perform inspection, maintenance, and construction methods that suite your current technical skills.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Perform Rope Access activities to the extent qualified in.
- Perform tasks to the extent certified and qualified in.
- Set-up and calibrate equipment.
- Conduct tests in the basic NDT methods to the extent certified and qualified in.
- Interpret, evaluate and document results through formal reports.
- Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel in the method(s) in which certified and capable of.
- Work under the supervision of Level II or Level III
- Provide direction and guidance with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
- Effectively communicates with customers and coworkers.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Willingness to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
- Experience in refining, petrochemical, power or construction industries.
- Participates in required training, rope access certification sessions.
CERTIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Rope Access SPRAT/IRATA Certification.
- Documented hours required to certify in all basic NDT methods as mentioned above.
