Full and Part Time Welding Inspector – Bridge (Southeast USA)

Pennoni is currently seeking full-time and part-time Welding Inspectors, for off-site fabrication shops located in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and the Carolinas producing bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.

Required experience is consistent with, but not limited to:

• Inspection of welding and steel fabrication
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop reports

Required Attributes

• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum years of experience: 4-7
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector with D1.1 and D1.5 experience
• Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Need reliable transportation

Preferred Attributes:

• NACE or SSPC Coating Inspection Certification
• Non Destructive Testing/certifications -UT, MT, PT
